Flic en Flac
Flic en Flac has the longest continuous white-sand beach on the island and faces directly into the sunset, which makes it the most reliable west-coast location for warm backlit portraits.
Best time to shoot here
The last hour before sunset is the reason to come here. Casuarina trees along the back of the beach give shade for earlier sessions and a natural frame for wider compositions.
Getting there and access
Ample public parking along the coastal road. The beach is public along its whole length. Weekends, especially Sunday, are considerably busier with local families.
